Yesterday, Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) hosted Ms. Cristina Covalt, senior executive service contracting officer, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), for a tour of Building CEP-200 and a meeting with MARMC leadership. During her visit, Covalt was briefed on the command’s mission and toured our I-level shops to learn about our various maintenance capabilities. We thank you for your visit!#WeFixShips | #MARMC

Our USS McFaul maintenance team beamed with pride as they were recognized by MARMC Commanding Officer, Capt. Jay Young, for their contributions during McFaul’s 91-day Incremental Selected Restricted Availability (ISRA), at an award ceremony held yesterday morning.Partnered with , the maintenance team helped to complete critical repairs, delivering the Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer back to the fleet July 1, eight days ahead of schedule!Young praised the team for their dedication and professionalism, saying, "This is a big win. Through the combined efforts of our maintenance team, the McFaul crew, ECR, and our subcontractor partners, we demonstrated our commitment to force generation. Meet Machinery Repairman 3rd Class Colson Cadore!MR3 Cadore, hailing from Saint Patrick, Grenada, is a shining example of what our Sailors are capable of! With just two years of service under his belt, Cadore is already making waves. His latest accomplishment? Constructing a Sea Water Service (SWS) Pump Shaft for USS Stout (DDG 55) entirely in-house here at Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center! “I had zero knowledge about a pump shaft and what it took to construct one, but I accepted the challenge,” said Cadore. RDML Max G. McCoy, commander, Carrier Strike Group Four, expressed his gratitude to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) team for their critical role in the early completion of USNS Hunter's (TSV 3) Emergency Availability."We fully appreciate that you have many competing priorities and a wide range of customers to support up and down the seaboard," said McCoy. "Your staff, in concert with the Colonna’s Shipyard Downriver team worked tirelessly through weekends and holidays to successfully complete the Emergency Availability ahead of schedule. Please accept my sincere gratitude for this effort and the consistently outstanding support you provide to CSG-4 throughout the year."
