Elden Ring has introduced a comprehensive class system that needs the player to assemble their character as per the qualities and shortcomings of the class they pick. A portion of the classes have predominant melee type stats, and some have prevailing magic type stats, and the rest have a blend of both.
Elden Ring also provides the players with an extensive choice of weapons to choose from. These weapons rank according to the damage they inflict and their rarity in the game. However, every weapon in the game works in an optimum manner only for certain classes in the game, therefore players will have to choose accordingly.

Golden Halberd
This is strong weapon that players can get early on in the game and it has D Grade Faith Scaling. Players with high Faith, Strength and Dexterity builds will work perfectly with this heavy weapon. The special ability of this weapon is called the Golden Vow, when activated, this skill provides the players with an attack and defence boost for a limited amount of time. The description for this weapon reads:
Weighty halberd forged of gold. Wielded by the Order of Tree Sentinels, heavily equipped knights. Deals holy damage. A masterfully crafted weapon that lives up to its heft, but is difficult for one mere human strength to wield.
To obtain the Golden Halberd in Elden Ring, the players will have to defeat the Tree Sentinel that can be seen wielding this weapon in all its glory. The players will have to head to the road that leads to Church of Elleh in Limgrave, they can find this boss roaming in that region on a horseback.
Coded Sword
A sturdy weapon that provides the player with B grade Faith Scaling towards Holy Damage and can be upgraded to S Grade. Players with Faith dominant builds will absolutely love this weapon. The special ability of this weapon is called Holy Blade Slash, which is an attack that cannot be blocked and takes a chunk out of the enemy’s health.
To acquire the Coded Sword in Elden Ring the players should head over to the Lower Capital Church found in the region of Liurnia. In this area the players will find a dragon statue that they will have to climb to reach the top of the Capital Church, here they will find an area that looks like an abandoned castle. In this castle the players will find the Coded Sword in an isolated closed room, sitting on a throne.
Uchigatana
To use this weapon with Faith scaling, the players will have to first use the Sacred Whetstone on the sword to turn it into a Sacred Uchigatana. The Sacred Whetstone can be found in the same area as the Coded Sword. Once applied it will allow the player to get high Holy Damage and Physical Damage from the Sword.
It has a great attack list that players will have to get used to by playing the game. As it is a longsword, the players will also have a decent amount of range while playing with this katana. The Uchigatana has a special move called Unsheathe that is incredibly fast and inflicts a great amount of damage to the enemies. To find this weapon the players need to check out the Death Touch Catacombs, the long sword can be found lodged in a corpse further down the catacombs.
The players will have to use the weapon in a two-handed style mostly as the Unsheathe ability can only be performed two-handed. The Uchigatana also has an auxiliary effect called Bleed Build-Up. This effect is not directly noticeable on the screen, but slicing the enemies enough times will build up this effect and progressively increase the damage inflicted with each slice.
Scythe
Similar to the Uchigatana, the players will have to use the Sacred Whetstone on this weapon. This will allow them to have High Physical and Damage and Holy Damage and will work well with their Faith dominant builds.
This is a heavy weapon that players with high Strength and Dexterity type builds can use. It has great range and players take down enemies much faster with this heavy weapon. This weapon also has the Bleed Build Up auxiliary effect that allows the player to inflict more devastating blows when they make enemies bleed to the max level.
The Scythe in Elden Ring can be found in the Cliffbottom Catacombs, the players will have to look for a corpse and will find the Scythe lodged into it.
Gargoyle’s Blackblade
Gargoyle’s Blackblade is a legendary greatsword that works great with high Faith, Strength and Dexterity type builds. The weapon provides D grade Faith Scaling and inflicts heavy Physical damage and Holy damage. The special ability of this weapon is called the Corpse Wax Cutter, when activated it releases a projectile that can inflict damage to enemies from a distance. The description for this weapon reads:
Bronze greatsword wielded by Valiant Gargoyle mended with blackened corpse wax. Deals holy damage. Such is the mark of those who serve Maliketh, the Black Blade.
To obtain the Gargoyle’s Blackblade in Elden Ring the players will have to defeat the Black Blade Kindred Boss, also known as Black Gargoyle. This boss can be found in the Forbidden Lands, in the Caelid region.
Gargoyle’s Black Halberd
This weapon is a legendary Halberd that works best with High Strength, Faith and Dexterity builds. It provides the players with D grade Faith scaling and inflicts high Physical and Holy damage to the enemies. The special ability of this weapon is called Spinning Slash, which basically explains what it does. The description for this weapon in the game reads:
Bronze halberd wielded by Valiant Gargoyle, mended with blackened corpse wax. Deals holy damage. Such is the mark of those who serve Maliketh, the Black Blade.
To obtain the Gargoyle’s Black Halberd in Elden Ring the players will have to defeat the Black Blade Kindred Boss, also known as Black Gargoyle. This boss can be found in the Forbidden Lands, in the Caelid region.
Winged Scythe
This is a complex weapon that deals both melee damage and holy damage, it is apt for players using faith and dexterity type builds. The weapon also has a special ability called Angel’s Wings, which allows the player to jump and deliver a slashing attack to the enemies. The description for this weapon in the game reads:
Sacred scythe resembling a pair of white wings. Deals holy damage. According to pagan belief, white-winged maidens are said to be Death's gentle envoys.
The Winged-Scythe in Elden Ring can be obtained by procuring it from a chest that is located in the Fourth Church of Marika, found in the Weeping Peninsula.
