Drake Tax - Change or Reset Multi-Factor Authentication (2024)

How do I recover or reset my login for Drake Tax when I have enabled MFA and my device is changing or has been lost?

If a preparer loses or changes their smartphone, MFA will need to be disabled and then re-enabled and configured with the new device. The process varies depending on which preparer is affected and whether or not they still have access to the old MFA device.

  • Non-admin Preparer MFA Change or Reset
  • Admin Preparer MFA Change (has old device)
  • Admin Preparer MFA Reset (does not have old device)

Notes:

  • MFA is enabled by default for all preparers starting with Drake21.
  • The Admin opt-out selection during their initial loginonlyapplies to the ADMIN account.
  • If MFA does not need to be configured for other preparers, the ADMIN must go toSetup > Preparersto opt other preparers out of MFA.
  • MFA can be disabled for all preparers or select preparers, depending on office needs.
  • SeeRelated Linksbelow for details on the MFA setup.
